SOMERVILLE, NJ -- Tekni-Films, a Tekni-Plex Company, has started production of locally laminated PVC/PCFTE for the Mercosur market in Latin America from its facility in Buenos Aires, it was announced by Tekni-Films’ vice president Michael Franklin.
“The main local markets for Mercosur are Argentina and Brazil,” Mr. Franklin explained, “and this additional capability at our Buenos Aires facility allows us to provide immediate availability and faster delivery of these important products in South America, where we are distributing not only more PVC/PCTFE, but also more PVC mono and PVC/PVdC films.
“This localized capability greatly enhances our global manufacturing presence by supplementing our existing conversion facilities in Somerville, New Jersey which serves the North American market, and Erembodgem, Belgium which serves the European and Middle Eastern markets.”
Tekni-Films is a leading supplier of blister films for the pharmaceutical, OTC and nutritional markets.
